About Pastor Kevin Hymer

Pastor Hymer grew up in Fresno, California.  In 1979, while working at a factory in Wichita, Kansas, he met his future wife, Althea Bedard.  Through Althea’s testimony and witness, he was drawn to the Lord and recognized his need to receive the free gift of eternal life by trusting in Jesus Christ as Savior.  Pastor Kevin was called by God into full time ministry while serving at Messiah Baptist Church in Wichita in 1987.

Pastor Kevin and Althea have served the Lord together as far away as the White Mountains of New Hampshire to here in the Lone Star State of Texas.  Most recently, Pastor Kevin was pastor of Fairpark Baptist Church in Fort Worth.  They came to Regency in January 2020.

The Hymers currently live in Benbrook and have four married children and six grandchildren.
